Crap afloat!

So, most houseboats, if they are at all legal, don't just shit into the water, they have chemical toilets or septic tanks on them. One of the main expenses is paying for the pumping of crap out of your boat. Chemical toilets are often smelly, although quite a few people who aren't rich and live on boats in the UK have them. I was thinking, in order to save money in the long run, of getting a self-composting toilet which needs no water and often electricity to run, and either absorb the waste or turn it into nice harmless compost. What do you think? The ideal, which I certainly will not find, would be a toilet which turns crap into electricity!!! Oh the possibilities, oh! Oh, well...
